Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Local Home Quotes ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you visit local-home-quotes.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
Local Home Quotes is an independent website that helps homeowners in the United States get in touch with independent local home improvement providers and compare quotes. We are not a contractor and we don't perform any work. You can reach us through our Contact page.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
Our pages don't ask for your name, address, phone number or email address. If you send us a message through our Contact page, we receive the details you choose to include, such as your name, email address and message. Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people apart from automated spam; to do that, Cloudflare processes information about your browser and device under its own privacy policy.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our advertising and analytics partners may automatically collect information about your device and your visit, including:
- your IP address and approximate location derived from it;
- your browser type, device type and operating system;
- the pages you view, the links and buttons you click, and the date and time of your visit;
- the website or advertisement that brought you to the Site; and
- identifiers stored in cookies, pixels and similar technologies (see section 4).
Information you give to our partners
When you choose to request quotes, you leave the Site and go to a website run by one of our partners, such as a quote-matching service. Anything you enter there, such as your name, address or phone number, is collected by that partner under its own privacy policy, not this one. We don't receive the details you enter on partner forms. A partner may tell us that a request was completed, together with a reference number for the visit, so that we can measure which of our advertising works.
3. How we use information
- to operate, maintain and improve the Site;
- to measure how our advertising performs;
- to show advertising, including on Facebook and Instagram, to people who have visited the Site and to people with similar interests;
- to reply to messages you send us;
- to detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security problems; and
- to comply with the law and enforce our Terms of Use.
4. Cookies, pixels and advertising
The Site uses cookies, pixels, web beacons and similar storage technologies, including those of third parties such as Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram) and, where we advertise with them, Google and Microsoft. These third parties may use these technologies to collect or receive information from the Site and from other websites, and use it to provide measurement services and to target and deliver ads, including ads based on your visits to the Site and other websites over time.
You can opt out of the collection and use of this information for ad targeting:
- Digital Advertising Alliance: www.aboutads.info/choices
- Network Advertising Initiative: optout.networkadvertising.org
- European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: www.youronlinechoices.eu
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ad preferences: www.facebook.com/adpreferences
- Google ad settings: adssettings.google.com
- Microsoft ad settings: account.microsoft.com/privacy/ad-settings
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, parts of the Site may not work as intended. Opting out does not mean you will stop seeing ads; it means the ads you see will be less tailored to you.
To learn how these companies use information, see the Meta Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for how websites should respond to it, so the Site does not currently change its behavior when it receives one. Third parties may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you visit the Site.
5. How we share information
We don't sell your personal information for money. We share information only as follows:
- Advertising and analytics partners, such as Meta, which collect information through cookies and pixels as described in section 4.
- Service providers that host the Site, protect our contact form from spam, or deliver our email, who may use the information only to provide those services to us.
- Legal and safety reasons, when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or us.
- Business transfers, if the Site or our business is sold or transferred, as part of that transaction.
Under the laws of some U.S. states, letting advertising partners collect information through cookies and pixels for targeted advertising may count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information. You can opt out of this as described below.
6. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising:
- Use the opt-out tools listed in section 4.
- Contact us through our Contact page and tell us you want to opt out.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to opt out of targeted advertising. To make a request, contact us through our Contact page. We will need to confirm your request before acting on it, and we will respond within the time the law requires. You may use an authorized agent to make a request where the law allows. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Because our pages don't ask for your name or contact details, we may hold little or no information that we can link to you.
8. How long we keep information
We keep messages you send us for as long as we need them to reply and to keep reasonable records, and then delete them. Information collected through cookies and pixels is kept by the partners that collect it, under their own policies.
9. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the information we handle. No website or method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
The Site is meant for adult homeowners. It is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Other websites
The Site links to websites run by others, including our partners' quote request forms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them. Please read their policies before giving them any information.
12. Visitors outside the United States
The Site is intended for people in the United States. If you visit from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Please check back from time to time.
14. Contact us
If you have a question about this Privacy Policy or want to make a request, please reach us through our Contact page.
